Request for Quotation (RFQ): Automated System for Vehicle Rental

Background:

I rent out a van and wish to improve and automate the rental process. Currently, the process requires manual registration of renters and in-person handover of the keys. I am looking for a solution to automate these tasks, making the rental process more efficient for both myself as the owner and my customers.

Description of the Desired System:

I am seeking a development firm or developer to design and implement a fully automated system for renting out my van. The system should include the following features:

1. Electronic Lock and Key Management
Implementation of a smart locking system that allows remote locking and unlocking of the vehicle via an APP, web portal, code, or key card.
The ability to generate and send one-time codes or digital keys to renters to provide them with access to the vehicle during the rental period.
2. Booking and Reservation System
Development of a user-friendly online platform (website or mobile APP) where customers can:
Check vehicle availability.
Make reservations.
Complete payments online.
Receive confirmations and electronic contracts.
3. Automatic Verification of Renters
Integration with third-party services for digital identity verification and driver's license checks.
The ability to perform credit checks and secure payments before approving reservations.
4. GPS and Condition Monitoring
Installation of GPS tracking to monitor the vehicle's location in real-time.
Implementation of sensors to report the vehicle's condition, including fuel level, mileage, and any damages.
5. Automatic Generation and Sending of Contracts
Automatic generation of rental contracts with electronic signature capability.
Integration for automatic sending of contracts and other relevant information to both the customer and the owner.
6. Communication and Notification System
Automatic sending of notifications and reminders to customers via SMS or email.
Built-in chat function for direct communication with customers.
7. Reporting and Analysis
Features for generating reports on vehicle usage, income, expenses, and maintenance needs.
Analysis capabilities to identify trends and areas for improvement in the rental process.
8. Integration with External Services
Integration with map and navigation services.
Support for multiple payment solutions (e. G., credit card, mobile payment).
9. Compatibility with 4G/5G Networks
Given that the 2G network in Norway is being phased out soon, the technology must operate on 4G or 5G networks.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in developing web and mobile applications.
Competence in integrating electronic locks and smart technology.
Experience with payment solutions and digital signatures.
Knowledge of GPS and tracking technologies.
Additional Information:

I have a background in vehicle technology and can install all necessary equipment myself. Therefore, the focus should be on developing and delivering the software and system components.
