I am contacting you from the UK to enquire if I can commission a new product to be designed and produced by you in your factory, having discovered your company on the Ali Baba marketplace.

Hopefully you have a design and testing team in-house that can provide me the capabilities and expertise to develop my product ideas.

The product that I want to innovate is the standard 3 pin re-wireable fused plug that you offer for sale. Currently this product is specified within BS1363 for the UK and other territories.

In brief initially I want to innovate the shape of the housing and to produce a sample product to show buyers in the UK. I envisage the first production run to be 1, 000 units with 5 - 10, 000 annually.

The product must pass all legal requirements for the UK, so comply with BS1363 and also CE safety certification for UK and Europe.

Once the shape of the plug has been agreed and produced I would like to explore different finishing options (as long as they do not affect the BS1363 or CE safety standards) such as;

Spray Finishing
Electro Plating
Hydro Dipping

Can you outline what finishing options are possible and the associated costs with the project as outlined?

Design and production of new shape for BS1363 3 pin re-wireable plug

Application of finishing processes on the new casing.
