I am prototyping an idea to provide external power to vintage Polaroid SX-70 cameras. This requires a modification to the camera to bring two power leads into the camera. It's not hard -- but for this to work as something that I might be able to sell and/or provide as upgrade service, the solution has to have a little cosmetic impact on the look and feel of the camera as possible. Elegant is the word.

The ideal solution would be a tightly attached, thin (1-2cm) battery pack that would fit within the 9.5cm X 11cm area of the bottom of the camera (perhaps by utilizing the existing four retaining screw holes, and that could be attached internally to the exposed battery terminals. The battery wouldn't necessarily have to be fully 9.5cm X 11cm if a smaller one would do the job,

This just an idea I have. These cameras are incredibly popular again. Polaroid is back as a company is making the necessary film. There are numerous boutique camera shops around the world that specialize in restoring and selling these cameras.

I am simply exploring the feasibility of an elegant external battery solution for these cameras. There is the possibility of a this becoming a product that I can sell and/or provide to resellers.

Best case, would be in the low digit thousands of potential sales, realistically MID-hundreds over the one to two years is my hunch, about number of units that I might need.
