SCOPE OF APPLICATION:
Silicone emulsion is used in the production of thermal insulation products based on mineral fiber to enhance the water-repellent (hydrophobic) properties of thermal insulation products.
OPERATING CONDITIONS:
Silicone emulsion is used in the preparation of a binder solution for the production of thermal insulation products based on basalt fiber.
Silicone emulsion is added to the binder solution after neutralization of phenol-formaldehyde resin, after addition of ammonium sulfate. Next, a dedusting emulsion and gamma-ureidopropyltrimethoxysilane are added. The binder solution is supplied to the fiber deposition chamber by spraying through nozzles.
