We are seeking an innovative solution to assist our disabled clients who face challenges in taking their trash cans to the curb for garbage pickup.
Project Overview: We aim to develop a fully automated mobile robot capable of the following: Transporting a 96-gallon trash can (weighing up to 300 lbs) from the client's residence to the curb and back. Operating on a scheduled basis (once a week). Navigating gravel surfaces up to 1, 000 feet in length. Avoiding obstacles during its route. Recharging using either a 120V outlet charging station or a solar-powered system.
Prototype Development and Mass Production: Initially, we plan to create a functional prototype to test and refine the design. Once the prototype is error-free, we intend to proceed with mass production of at least 100 units.
Budget Considerations: Our initial budget for each unit is $1, 500. However, we are open to discussing the budget further and may be willing to allocate additional funds for the right solution.
Key Features: Autonomy: The robot should operate autonomously based on a predetermined schedule. Safety: It must be equipped with safety features to avoid collisions and ensure user safety. Stability: The robot should handle the weight of a standard trash can without compromising stability. Reliability: We expect a reliable and efficient solution for our clients.
Timeline: We request a clear timeline for prototype development, testing, and eventual mass production. Please factor in design iterations, safety certifications, and user testing. We are open to collaborating with experts in robotics, engineering, and accessibility to create a solution that significantly improves the lives of our disabled clients.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to hearing from you and exploring potential collaboration.
Best regards,
