Physical Properties: Appearance: Fine, reddish-brown powder, odorless. Particle Size Distribution: D90: Less than 5 microns (90% of particles are smaller). D50: 0.5 to 2 microns (median particle size). Spherical Particle Diameter: Average diameter between 0.5 to 2 microns. Bulk Density: Between 950 and 1050 kg/m³. Surface Area: 1-5 m²/g (Micro Max). Specific Gravity: Minimum 4.8 at 68°F (20°C). Solubility and pH: Solubility: Insoluble in water. pH (5g in 50 ml distilled water): Between 7 and 10.5. Additional Requirement: The supplier must confirm that the product is suitable for use as an additive in drilling fluid.
