Currently 99% of footballers in the United Kingdom do not wear protective mouth gear at all.

There currently isn't a requirement In the UK to wear protective mouth guards in football, so these 'specified football' guards aim is to be as comfortable as possible whilst protecting against any potential facial collisions - so the quality must still meet a certain standard of quality to ensure that they are worth their utilisation.
