We are excited to collaborate with your team to develop a hydroponic living wall system that meets our needs. Here is a detailed RFQ for the project:
System Overview:
The hydroponic living wall system is an indoor plant growing system that uses nutrient-rich water solutions to support the growth of a variety of plants. The system will maximize space utilization while minimizing water and energy consumption. To achieve this, we have pre-selected the following hardware components:
Hardware Components:
Water Pumps:
Two water pumps with a flow rate of at least 100 gallons per hour will be used to circulate water through the system.
The water pumps should be reliable and energy-efficient.
The water pumps are pre-selected based on their performance data sheet, which is available upon request.
The system should allow the user to control the pumps' cycling intervals through the touch screen user interface.
Dosing Pumps:
Four dosing pumps with a flow rate of at least 20 mL per minute will be used to deliver nutrients to the plants.
The dosing pumps should be accurate, reliable, and energy-efficient.
The dosing pumps are pre-selected based on their performance data sheet, which is available upon request.
The system should allow the user to program the dosing pump timings based on plant requirements and nutrient concentration in the water.
LED Lights:
Integrated LED lights will be used to provide illumination for the plants.
The LED lights should be energy-efficient, reliable, and have a minimum output of 2000 lumens.
The LED lights are pre-selected based on their performance data sheet, which is available upon request.
The system should allow the user to control the LED light intensity and cycle intervals through the touch screen user interface.
Fans:
Onboard fans will be used to circulate air through the system to prevent mold and ensure proper ventilation.
The fans should be efficient, reliable, and have a noise level of less than 50 dB.
The fans are pre-selected based on their performance data sheet, which is available upon request.
The system should allow the user to program the fan cycling intervals based on the temperature and humidity inside the system.
Sensors:
Water level sensor: To monitor the water level in the system and alert the user when the level is low.
Total dissolved solids sensor: To monitor the concentration of dissolved solids in the water and alert the user when the level is too high.
Water flow sensor: To measure the flow rate of water through the system and ensure proper circulation.
Water temperature sensor: To monitor the temperature of the water and alert the user when it is outside the acceptable range.
Microcontroller Board:
The microcontroller board will be used to control the system and interface with the sensors and hardware components.
The board should have sufficient processing power, memory, and I/O pins to handle the data and control requirements of the system.
The board should have WiFi connectivity to allow remote access to the system.
Software Requirements:
User Interface:
The system should have a touch screen display with a minimum resolution of 800X480.
The user interface should provide access to the following information and controls:
System status, including pump and dosing pump status, water level alerts, and prompts to clean water based on total dissolved solids.
