We are currently in the process of upgrading our machinery, and we would like to replace our existing stepper motors with servo motors. Below are the details of the current stepper motors we are using, as well as our requirements for the new servo motors:
For the Y-axis, we are using a P Series NEMA 34 Closed Loop Stepper Motor (Part Number: 34E1KBK50-120) with a rated torque of 12 Nm and approximately 800 W of power. The motor is equipped with an electromagnetic brake, and its speed is limited to less than 1000 rpm. Communication for this motor is done via Step/Dir (not RS485).
For the X-axis, we are using an iCL Series NEMA 23 Integrated RS485 Closed Loop Stepper Motor (Part Number: ICL57-RS23) with a rated torque of 2.3 Nm and approximately 200 W of power. This motor communicates via RS485.
We are looking for servo motors that can replace these stepper motors. The servo motor for the Y-axis must include an electromagnetic brake, as it is a crucial safety feature for our application. Both servo motors should be capable of communication via RS485 (Modbus RTU or similar). Additionally, we require that the servo motors have higher speed capabilities than the current stepper motors.
We have available power supplies of 24V, 36V, and 60V, so the servo motors should be compatible with these voltage levels.
Could you please provide us with your available options for the above specifications, including pricing, lead times, and any additional relevant information?
We look forward to your reply.
Best regards,
