Dears, please send us quotation for PE-cap and PE-inner Plug molds for our injection machine. Our engineer recommends finding molds with Hot Runner and most likely with 8 cavities (also do a second option with 10 cavities too). Also below his recommendation is a request-letter from our engineer, about the advantage of Hot Runner molds. Please finds attached hand sketch of Plastic injection process. Here is my comment and recommendation for select mold type, as per below: 1) Of cause, the cold runner mold is cheaper than the hot runner mold. There is no question. 2) From my experience, the cold runner mold create a lot of problems in the long run, Such as: 2.1) The temperature of melted plastic material will drop during passing the injection gate (See attached hand sketch); 2.2) Problem from item (2.1) The plastic material needs to heat up and nealing for longer time. Then the screw feed could inject the material pass through the cold injection gate and mold cavities. 2.3) Problem from item (2.2) will lead to high scrap rate and product quality. 2.4) the consequence of item (2.3) will cause high PE canister leakage problems. Every injection cycle you will get probably 1-2 piece of inner plug and outer cap. The quality is not consistency. The scrap rate can be 12.5% -15.0%. ( While the standard scrap rate of plastic injection is 3.0% ) Most of all, it really hard for operator to sort out the defected inner plug or outer cap. 3) Base on the data I've shared you, I would recommend you to order the hot runner mold rather than cold runner mold. 4) we could find high skill and experience technician to operate the injection molding machine.

Dear supplier of molds, I am contacting you again. Today our engineer finally made all the photos of our injection machine for lighters. As you know, we want to modernize, i. e. Not to produce lighter molds, but to produce PE-cap and PE-inner Plug molds on this injection machine. Please read the new file of your engineer and his comment regarding the request for future PE-cap and PE-inner Plug molds for our 5-liter PE canisters for liquid soap. Note that our Injection Machine is 168 tons, and earlier we thought that it was 150 tons. In addition, our management requires us to speed up the order and purchase of these molds. Dear Galym, As per your request, please finds attached "Injection Machine". You could send this file to Chinese supplier to see the specification, especially the Clamping Force is 168 ton. Please make sure to send the Chinese supplier has PE-Cannister drawing. The Chinese supplier will design the mold 's cap according to PE-Cannister's drawing. Once the Chinese supplier know all specification, then they will design the inner & outer mold's cap cavity for you. For example: 6 cavity (1 cycle of injection, you will get the cap 6 pieces); 8 cavity (1 cycle of injection, you will get the cap 8 pieces). This served for your information.
