The fuel water flow meters shall be of the in-line type and will be installed on both new and existing fuel conduits, in a wide range of possible geographical locations. Their installation and setting up must be easy and rapid, minimizing as possible the possible fuel supply outages.
For flexibility, operability, and ease of installation, they will have to be:

- Capable to be mounted on most material piping.
- Capable to be installed both horizontally and vertically.
- Suitable for cold liquid fuel with no impurity under use by UN, such as diesel, gasoline or Jet A-1 fuel, with a temperature up to 60°C.
- Of an adequate accuracy of max. 1% of reading.
- Made of quality stainless steel.
- Capable to communicate with a remote monitoring platform by both pulse output and Modbus RTU.
