Product Description
We are seeking to purchase or develop a high speed permanent magnet generator (PMG) for a an application for our energy system we have developed. Our goal is to develop a PMG with a robust design to scale and meet out needs across a broad set of scale. Our first goal is to develop that PMG at approximately the 15 kW size with the following requirements:
1) Capable fo 80, 000 to 120, 000 RPM input shaft speed
2) Estimated input torque is 1 to 1.5 Nm
3) Electrical output is flexible from 300 to 800 volts at variable Hz, which we expect to be dependent upon input frequency and poles of generator.
4) Rotor to contain Permanent Magnets (Rotation)
5) Stator to contain windings/poles (Fixed)
The input of the PMG will be driven by an expander which is driven by an high temp (200-250C) compressed air stream. This is very similar to turbo/expanders in diesel trucks.
Output of the system is variable as we expect to develop the power electronics to convert to an DC voltage output.
